Ireland 2011 - Emerald Society of Illinois - June 10/21

We are celebrating our 35th anniversary this year, what better way to embrace your heritage than to travel to Ireland June 2011. Land/air costs are currently estimated; I strongly recommend everyone to purchase the travel protection plan. If you are traveling as a single, there is an additional up-charge.  There are a limited number of rooms available for 3 to share.

Fri, 10 June: Depart from Chicago O’Hare, overnight flight, arriving in Dublin. Enjoy in-flight  entertainment and meal service.

Sat, 11 June: Arrive Dublin Airport, complete customs/immigration formalities. Join your CIE tour driver/guide escort you/your luggage to the coach. Breakfast at the Man O’ War restaurant & pub. Arriving in Belfast, a tour of the city, the Harland & Wolff Shipyards, Falls Road and Shankill residential areas.  Dinner/Overnight - Belfast

Sun, 12 June: Belfast Castle and Downpatrick – the reputed burial site of St. Patrick. Dinner/Overnight - Belfast

Mon, 13 June: Dunluce Castle, Giant’s Causeway and Derry.  Dinner/Overnight – Derry

Tues, 14 June: Derry Walking Tour, Ulster American Folk Park and Donegal.       Dinner/Overnight – Donegal

Wed, 15 June: Slieve League Cliffs and Grand Atlantic Drive. Dinner/Overnight – Donegal

Thurs, 16 June: Drumcliffe Churchyard and Knock Shrine. Dinner/Overnight – Westport

Fri, 17 June: “Quiet Man” Walking tour and Lough Corrib Cruice. Dinner/Overnight – Galway

Sat, 18 June: Connemara and Celtic Crystal. Dinner/Overnight – Galway

Sun, 19 June: Clonmacnoise, Locke’s Distillery and Dublin.
